LIFE DRAWING - Monday Mornings

Develop the skills you need to create a work of art from a nude model. Poses will include short, two-minute gestural drawings, as well as longer poses ranging from twenty minutes up to two hours in length. Each participant will receive individual instruction and all skill levels are welcome. The model fee is included in the class fee.

Students will study plein air painting in the tradition of the impressionists while painting outdoor landscapes at various scenic locations. The class will focus on the study of light by creating multiple paintings of the same subject at multiple times of light. Students are welcome to use various mediums including; oil paint, oil pastels, soft pastels, and watercolor. Portable french easels will be provided. The first class will be held in Studio 2 at Orange Art Center.

This class welcomes all skill levels to learn and experience the magic of watercolor. Students will be offered various exercises to practice new techniques and develop a deeper understanding of watercolor. JEWELRY + METALS THURSDAY Mornings

This fine jewelry course will begin with the fundamentals of jewelry fabrication and small metalwork by introducing basic skills of sawing, filing, soldering and polishing-finishing. Beginning projects will be offered and experienced students will be guided to develop their skills and create individual projects.

This class will explore block printing on fabric or large sheets of paper to create your own gift wrapping paper or finished fabric to sew with. We will explore basic print design techniques such as drop repeats, tossing and mirroring. You will create and design your project, with a functional finished product.
