Jewelry designer Grace Chin creates one-of-a-kind artistic and fine jewelry. With a background in sculpture, she was formally trained in jewelry at the Parsons School of Design and the Fashion Institute of Technology. After working for many years as an arts manager, in 2004 she launched her first complete line. Her fascination with metal began in childhood with her father, who was a metallurgist for Bell Laboratories.
Grace began teaching at the Orange Arts Center in 2016. She enjoys teaching fine jewelry making traditions and skills and applying them to beginning and advanced students.
Grace Chin’s pieces explore the visual and acoustical properties of metal as it moves with the wearer. Her work is inspired by art and architecture. Grace Chin collections are available at boutiques and galleries in Aspen, Cleveland, and San Francisco. She maintains a studio in Cleveland, Ohio.
