Situated in a serene park setting and nestled in the woods just outside Orange High School in Pepper Pike, the Orange Art Center (OAC) is located in a former residence, built in the 1930s and later expanded with the addition of three new studio spaces. Initially offering art classes in 1980, the organization has welcomed students of all ages and skill levels from neighborhoods throughout Northeast Ohio into our community for more than 38 years.
The OAC has received an extensive renovation, new programming and re-branding as it entered a new chapter in August 2016 under the Orange City School District and is the newest Division of Orange Community Education and Recreation.
Job Description + Title
The Orange Art Center is seeking an Arts Administration Associate to join our creative team. This part-time position will be responsible for a variety of tasks and projects that will encompass aspects of: gallery exhibitions, programming, general office operations, events, fundraising, marketing and communications. This multi-tasking opportunity aligns best with a highly creative, motivated, detailed and organized individual. The ideal candidate would be experienced and skilled in writing content, customer service, Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite. The preferred requirement for this position is a Bachelor’s degree in liberal/visual arts, business and/or marketing and communications. The work hours and days are flexible and the compensation is competitive. This position will offer the benefits of being an Orange City School District employee.
