BECOME AN OAC ART INSTRUCTOR

​Do you have a passion for teaching art and inspiring creativity? The Orange Art Center (OAC) is seeking talented and enthusiastic art instructors to share their expertise with adults and young artists (K–12). We welcome creative ideas for ongoing classes and workshops in any medium or style, from traditional fine arts to contemporary and experimental techniques. Whether you are interested in offering one-day sessions, multi-week courses, or hands-on intensives, OAC provides a supportive environment to foster creativity and artistic growth in our community.

CURRENT HIGH-NEED TEACHING OPPORTUNITIES

Summer Camp Art Instructor, Orange Art Center

The Orange Art Center is hiring experienced, creative art instructors for our 2025 Summer Art Camp. This six-week program runs weekdays from June 9 through July 25, providing hands-on art experiences for children in grades K-8. Instructors will design and lead fun, age-appropriate lessons in a variety of media, encouraging creativity and artistic growth in a supportive environment. Applicants are required to have experience teaching art to children or teens and the ability to create a positive, well-managed classroom. A degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field is preferred; candidates with equivalent experience are encouraged to apply. Camps run from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with both full-day and half-day teaching opportunities available. Pay is $30 per hour. This is a great opportunity for art educators to share their passion in a welcoming setting with small class sizes, fully equipped studios, and a collaborative, supportive staff.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ART INSTRUCTORS:

  • Experience teaching art to children, teens, or adults

  • Degree in Fine Arts, Arts Education, or a related field

  • Ability to create and implement lesson plans for students of varying skill levels

  • Ability to create a positive, well-managed classroom environment

  • Enthusiasm for teaching and inspiring creativity

  • Must pass a background check and fingerprinting
