Our Emerging Artist in Residence, Lauren Sylvia, is hitting her stride in week two with an explosion of creativity! She kicked things off with an energizing creative session alongside OAC Coordinator Destyni Green, diving into her residency goals, experimenting with material studies, and exploring color theory, mark-making, and more.

Lauren has been hard at work, making incredible progress on multiple paintings across yupo paper, raw canvas, and gessoed canvas—each piece a testament to her evolving artistic journey.

This week also brought an extra spark to the studio with the presence of Lauren’s daughter, Ruby! Having them both immersed in the creative space has been an absolute delight, adding an inspiring dynamic to the residency.
